Thailand is a Southeast Asian country that borders Cambodia and Laos to the east, Myanmar to the west and Malaysia to the south. The eastern coast faces the Gulf of Thailand and the western coast is bathed by the Andaman Sea. It has an area of 513,115 km2 and a population that exceeds 65,000,000 inhabitants.
 
Bangkok is the capital of Thailand and one of the most important cities in Asia. Unlike other large countries in Asia, Thailand has never been colonized and thus preserves traces of its culture, history and traditional architectural art. Thai is the official language, although English is very present throughout the country as a second language adopted by locals.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Bangkok

Arrival at the Bangkok International Airport, with welcome service and transfer to the hotel (transfer without a guide). The rest of the day is free. Relax at the hotel or maybe take advantage of your stay in the capital to indulge in a traditional Thai massage, wander through the markets and savor street food or appreciate the beauty of the sunset from one of the bars that have flourished in recent years On the roofs of the downtown skyscrapers ... the options are unlimited in Bangkok. Night in hotel in Bangkok.

Day 2: Bangkok

You will have the day off to discover Bangkok on your own or choose one of the many optional excursions available to book at the moment. For those who have never been to Bangkok, we suggest a half-day tour of the Buddhist temple, and icon of the 'City of Angels' (optional, not included). The dazzling Grand Royal Palace * is an architectural masterpiece consisting of several buildings with a magical interior that served as the royal residence from the 18th century until the 20th century. You will see a collection of impressive palaces used according to the occasion: funerals; receptions; the royal throne; the coronation; the royal guests, and the Wat Phra Keaw, the 'Temple of the Emerald Buddha'. It is a must visit in Bangkok. (* The Grand Palace is closed to the public during royal ceremonies and state visits.) Night in hotel in Bangkok on bed and breakfast basis.

Day 3: Bangkok - Ayuthaya - Kamphaeng Phet

Pick up at 07:00 am departure to Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Siam, to contemplate the ruins what was an immense island city that was plundered in large part by an invading army 250 years ago. Today, the historical park that houses the ruins evokes ancient glories as seen in temples such as Wat Yai Chaimongkhon, Wat Phanan Chioeng and Wat Mahathat, where the famous image of the Buddha devoured by the roots is found. Next, we embark on a traditional long tail boat to enjoy a tour around the island, observing the ruins of the city from a new perspective. After having lunch at a local restaurant, we continue to Kamphaeng Phet to check in at the hotel. Night at a hotel in Kamphaeng Phet on a bed and breakfast basis. Lunch included

Day 4: Kamphaeng Phet - Lampang - Chiang Mai

Take the road to Lampang after breakfast at the hotel. Upon arrival, visit Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, a large Lanna style temple located on a walled hill. Climb the naga stairs and explore the complex, which boasts seven buildings and a sacred tree. Appreciate the bronze Buddha in the ordination hall and the relic of the Buddha in the golden chedi. Continue to the Thai Elephant Conservation Center, where more than 50 Asian elephants receive shelter and care in a natural rainforest habitat. The big attraction of the center are undoubtedly the elephants of the Royal Stable of the King of Thailand. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to Chiang Mai, popularly known as the 'Rose of the North'. Check in at the hotel when you arrive with the rest of the day free. Maybe explore the city or enjoy a relaxing Thai massage (not included). In the afternoon, go to the bustling night market to wander or try a 'khantoke' dinner - the style of serving in the north of Thailand - accompanied by an authentic show and traditional performances of Lanna culture (optional, not included). Day 5: Chiang Mai

Breakfast at the hotel followed by a visit to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep to enjoy its breathtaking panoramic views. To reach the temple it is necessary to climb a naga staircase with 309 steps or cable car use (included). If the views are impressive, the temple itself is not to be missed and has dazzling golden structures. This spiritual visit is followed by a tour of the temple of consumption that is the road of San Kamphaeng, which along 10km is flanked by shops selling ceramic products, lacquered, wood and silver as well as jewelry and silks. In some stores, you can pay attention to some bargain in celadon ceramics and silver products, which are usually of the highest quality. After having lunch at a local restaurant, return to the hotel with the rest of the day off. Night in hotel in Chiang Mai on bed and breakfast basis. Lunch included.

Day 6: Chiang Mai - Lamphun - Sukhothai

We said goodbye to Chiang Mai after having breakfast at the hotel, leaving for Lamphun, where one of the most important temples of the north is located, the millenary Wat Phra That Hariphunchai. Visit the temple and appreciate the statues of Buddha and the imposing stupas, among which there is a 46-meter Lanna-style golden chedi and 21-meter Haripunchai gold. We take the road south to the Sukhothai Historical Park, which houses the ruins of the first capital of Siam. Founded in the thirteenth century, Sukhothai means 'Happy Dawn' and ushered in a golden age for Thai culture with the reign of Ramkhamhaeng the Great, who is considered the creator of the Thai alphabet. In the historical park are the ruins of almost 200 buildings, including dozens of temples. The complex, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is divided between intramural ruins. Day 7: Sukhotai - Lopburi - Bangkok - Phuket

Departure from Sukhothai after breakfast at the hotel on the way to Lopburi. This historic city is known for the herds of macaque monkeys that roam the streets and temples as if it were the jungle. Visit the ruins of ancient Khmer temple of Phra Prang Sam Yot and the adjoining Brahmin shrine of San Phra Kan, which is known as the 'Temple of the Monkeys'. Lunch is at a restaurant along the way. We continue to Bangkok, with transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Phuket (domestic flight) not included. Night in hotel in Phuket on bed and breakfast basis. Lunch included.

Day 8: Phuket

After breakfast you will have the day off to discover the city. Phuket is truly paradise on earth. The largest and most famous dream destination in Thailand is as colorful as it is cosmopolitan. You can relax by the pool or on the beach or take one of the many optional activities available. Phuket is a great starting point to the island of Phi Phi and the James Bond Islands, with easy access and do not miss the opportunity to discover the glittering temples of Phuket and colonial mansions. Your local representative can help you choose and make the necessary arrangements. Night in hotel in Phuket on bed and breakfast basis.

Day 9: Phuket

After breakfast you will have the day off to discover the city. Phuket is truly paradise on earth. The largest and most famous dream destination in Thailand is as colorful as it is cosmopolitan.
